For a cover story, first claim that you're looking for a new Rolex. (To impress her, of course.)

Noticing your future wife's hands is a good way to plan an engagement ring. In general, marquise or oval shaped stones can make short fingers look sleek. Wide bands on the other hand, make fingers look shorter than they really are. So always try to balance the fingers with the ring.





4.Think About Her Personality

You have done that, right? (In the general sense?) Well, by observing her personality, you can also learn about her understated jewelry preferences. Consider her lifestyle and then think about a suitable engagement ring to complement that life style. Would a flashy ring look out of place at her workplace? Will her daily routines cause her ring to become dirty easily-and thus have to be taken off, risking loss or theft?

5.Enlist The Help Of Friends And Family

Particularly in getting her ring size. Whatever you do, make sure you're not dealing with a rat and keep the engagement a pleasant surprise.
